Dear Fellow Firearms Enthusiasts,

Welcome to the 2nd issue of "Trigger Talks," where Sam Wood will share the journey through the world of firearms. As many of you know me from your visits to C.O.P.S. Gun Shop, I've always believed that responsible gun ownership begins with education, understanding, and a commitment to safety.

In this newsletter, I'm excited to share information about firearms that will help us enjoy our involvement with firearms over the years. Each purchase represents an investment in quality craftsmanship and reflects my evolving appreciation for different aspects of shooting sports and home defense.

My goal with "Trigger Talks" is to create a community where we can share our experiences, discuss proper firearm handling, and explore the latest in responsible gun ownership. Whether you're a seasoned collector or new to firearms, I hope my insights will help inform your journey.

GLOCK 45 MOS - Compact Crossover in black with Modular Optic System

The compact crossover pistol G45 MOS in 9x19mm combines a compact slide with a full-size frame and has all the benefits of a Gen5 model. The slide-in MOS configuration makes it easy to mount a reflex sight on the pistol’s slide without needing a new slide or separate mounting system. Utilizing the design and engineering GLOCK developed for its military pistol (G19X), combined with operator and worldwide Law Enforcement specifications.

The slide has the proven, superior GLOCK hard-surface finish nDLC in non-reflective black. It comes with front serrations (FS) which provide an additional tactile surface choice when manipulating the slide giving the operator positive traction even with a wet or sweaty hand. The frame is also subdued black, with a flared magazine well for fast reloads in critical situations. Additional features include the smoother trigger pull, the enhanced texture for sure handling, a reversible magazine catch, an ambidextrous slide stop lever, the Modular Backstrap System (MBS) for individual adjustability, and the incredibly accurate, reliable GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB).

With theG45 MOS GLOCK, you get the next level of performance for service pistols—tested, proven, and unmatched by any others.

The Supreme Court has ruled that a Pennsylvania school district can't force students to wear electronic tracking badges against their religious beliefs.

The court found that the school violated the students' freedom of religion by requiring them to wear the badges all day.

The school argued that the badges were necessary for safety reasons, but the court disagreed.

This decision sets a precedent for other schools requiring similar tracking technology, raising concerns about privacy and religious freedom.

Trivia Question❓

In 1775, during the American Revolutionary War, which American patriot famously shouted "Give me liberty, or give me death!" at the Virginia Convention?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

Guy Boyd was wounded by an accidental gunshot while socializing with friends in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Even though the high schoolers were underage to purchase guns, a loophole allowed his friend to obtain gun parts online and create a "ghost gun." The gun went off, injuring Boyd with fragments still in his brain.

The Biden administration implemented a rule restricting the purchase of gun kits by teenagers and those who fail background checks, which is now being challenged in court.

Ghost guns have been a growing issue, but regulations have led to a decrease in recoveries at crime scenes in various cities.
